Here are answers to the most common questions we get about Visible Body’s Human Anatomy Atlas:

(1) How much content is in the app?
- Over 5,000 3D structures in a male and female human body. (Over 10,000 total.) You can zoom, pan, and rotate to study from multiple viewpoints and zoom levels.
- To learn more about any structure, tap on it. You’ll get a definition, pronunciation, Latin term, and common diseases explained.
- More than 1,000 quiz questions
- There is also additional content, like select microanatomy and physiology videos.

(2) How do I access all those 3D structures?
There are three ways to view structures:
- Use the browse or search options to find a body part and show it on screen.
- Tap on a system icon to bring up that entire body system. (Tip: Tap the Favorites icon to save any of the views you make!)
- Select from over 100 pre-made views. These views offer another fast way to access the most popular content. We set them up so you can quickly see regional anatomy (like the thoracic cage with the heart, lungs, and great vessels or the pelvic cavity with reproductive, urinary, and digestive organs).

(3) What are some of the ways I can share this content with my patients, students, or classmates?
- Tap the share icon to email content to anyone!
- Everyone gets a screen capture and a link. Users of Atlas for iPad/iPhone can use the link to open and save the same 3D view on their device.

(4) What makes Visible Body’s Human Anatomy Atlas the worldwide best-seller?
- Expertly developed: Our 3D models and animations are created by biomedical visualization experts with advanced degrees from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Yale University, University of Texas, and others.
- Easy to use: Ranked #1 by iMedicalApps! "Ideal for students and teachers of anatomy, as well as for patient education." (imedicalapps.com). 2015 Tabby User’s Choice Award.
- Used in private practice, at hospitals, universities, and by consumers: Visible Body | Argosy Publishing has decades of experience providing medical content that helps visualize anatomy & physiology. Wolters Kluwer Health includes our apps in the wealth of solutions they provide hospitals, medical libraries, professionals and students in medicine, nursing, allied health. Thousands of people a day, around the globe, visit our website to learn basic anatomy and check out our apps.

(5) What content is in the in-app purchases?
- Most of the additional purchases are videos that show basic physiology and pathologies. These are ideal if you want to extend your copy of Human Anatomy Atlas to also include visual information about physiology and pathology. The app comes with over a dozen videos included. Check those out to get a sense for if you want more.
- There are two in-app purchases that add detailed bony landmarks, muscle attachment details, and 3D animations of common muscle actions. These are for users who want very detailed information on musculoskeletal function.

Pros and cons of Human Anatomy Atlas – 3D Anatomical Model of the Human Body app for iPhone and iPad

Human Anatomy Atlas – 3D Anatomical Model of the Human Body app good for

Great app for medical students, practitioners or curious alike who would like to learn more about Human Anatomy. It would be great if the different modules could work together in order to save some space for the animation for instance.
One of the best 3D anatomy atlas available. The best thing over Essential Anatomy is that this app has internal organs, which is great. Navigation is easy and 3D modeling is beautiful.
Easy to navegate, resourceful pocket tool that allows quick revision in Anatomy eighter for simple study or for surgical planning. I strongly recommend it!
Love this app. Use of the ability to take screen shots and use them in school presentations (Im a RMT in training, in Canada 3000+ hours). layers and interrelationships become apparent and the ability to filter and examine pathways is very useful. dont know what the problem is with some people but Ive had no problem and it works great for me.
Excellent teaching aid. I use regularly with patients in my office.
Really excellent tool. I am in 3rd year anatomy of the lower extremity doing my athletic therapy degree and I love it. The only thing I would suggest would be to add origin insertion action and innervation for each muscle, and added description of the bony landmarks and LIGAMENTS!!! Would be even worth paying slightly more for the added features - detail is great but I would love an app that went even further in depth. Still, 4 stars, very very good tool!!!

Some bad moments

I just downloaded this onto an iPad 2 but as soon as I launch any of the details in the app, it just crashes. It sounds like the same problem some others have been having. Perhaps this app has been modified so that it is only compatible with the new iPad. If this is so, I would like my money back!
This app is superior because of the ability to manipulate the model in any direction, zoom in and out, and remove or fade structures to provide excellent visualization. The downside is that it loads a little slowly (still less than 30 seconds) which may prevent some from using it in actual practice to educate patients. Once it is loaded it is very responsive. Update: ironically, after posting a 5/5 review it suddenly started crashing, and is now almost unusable. Complete BS!
I downloaded and its oversimplified, useless for studying because you cant get the details you want. Example there are no skull sutures which is stuff I learned in high school. There is no quiz function. It is a waste of money for a student, it is only 3d images that u can play with. As a student I wish I could get my money back and buy a good app.
Followed their instructions for running the app, but no help. Waste of money
Seems to shut down very frequently on iPad 2. Very disappointed as its very expensive but doesnt work. Please fix
I purchase it at the price of 34.99 two day ago and I am still waiting . I am upset that its supposed to be download but as a tag on waiting, so yes am waiting........
